About the Show
"Metal+Art: Contemporary Jewelry and Objects by Metalwerx Artists" is a community show intended to showcase the incredible range of talent, techniques, and styles in the Metalwerx community with the public. Through jewelry, vessels, sculpture, and wearable pieces, this show is an opportunity to share what "metal art" means to you.
Key Details
- You may submit 3–10 pieces for possible inclusion in the exhibit.
- You must be logged into your Metalwerx account to fill out the application form.
- The show committee will be in contact to let you know which pieces are selected for inclusion.
- If you apply, you will be included in this show.
- Items must be dropped off and picked up in-person at LexArt. No shipped items to LexArt!
Important Dates
- Deadline to submit your intent to participate: June 7
- Deadline for final images, descriptions, and display needs: August 15
- All work must be dropped off in-person at LexArt on: September 28 between 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
- All work must be picked up in-person on: October 26 between 1–5 p.m. or October 27 between 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
- Show Dates: October 3–October 25
- Opening Reception: October 4 from 2–4 p.m.

All Metalwerx studiomates are invited to enter this show, as well as local instructors and staff. Please review details here and then use the button on this page to enter.
You may enter 3-10 pieces for consideration. There will be opportunities to discuss and select the work you want to enter between now and August with the show committee. The final selection of work will be focused on two priorities: (1) that all artists have work featured and (2) showing the broadest diversity of work done by Metalwerx artists by type, size, and technique. The more variety you can submit for consideration, the better!
While we cannot guarantee a minimum and maximum number of pieces that will be selected, we promise that if you enter you will be included in the show.
Selected pieces must be delivered to LexArt on September 28 and must be picked up on October 26 or 27. All work is insured for loss and damage by LexArt while on the premises. You can choose to sell your featured work as part of this show - LexArt will retain 40% of the sale price and artists get 60% of the sale price.
This show is free to enter! If you'd like to make a donation to Metalwerx to support the admin work, planning, and preparations for this show, any amount is greatly appreciated. Metalwerx will receive no proceeds from this show - all proceeds from purchases of work are divided between the artist and LexArt only.
