Directed Studio Practice: Forming!

For students with forming experience and interest, this weekly class is an opportunity to work on independent FORMING projects with answers and guidance offered by a professional! Prior forming experience is preferred but not required.

The focus on this weekly class is for you to expand your skills and build a solid foundation in metal forming and forging processes by focusing on jewelry scale projects, including bracelets/cuffs, forging and up to forming a bowl/vessel. Technical demonstrations will respond to participants' interests and needs; synclastic forming, raising, and fold forming are among the many possibilities. Finishing techniques will also be covered. This will be a process- and technique-driven class where students will gain a greater understanding for how to control the direction and movement of metal. Students will bring their ideas and with the help of the instructor they will work towards realizing their vision. The possibilities are endless.

*No Classes: February 17th (School vacation week)*

Please be advised: Registration for our onsite classes closes one week before the class start-date.
