Tiny Hinges!
In this demo-focused virtual class, students will learn techniques for making tiny hinges three different ways (the cutest of all hinges) for hoop earrings and body adornment! A variety of carving bits and basic jewelers hand tools will be needed to carve out hinge parts from solid stock and prepare parts for easy precision drilling and soldering. There are no soldering demonstrations included. However, advanced soldering skills are not necessarily required for most techniques in this workshop. A variety of fabrication alternatives will be discussed along with tips and tricks that are sure to improve current skills at the torch!
This class on tiny hinges pairs perfectly with Taylor's other upcoming virtual class, Tiny Tension Catches! on August 4 and 11, 2025.
