MARNE RYAN, a recipient of the 1997 Rolex award for excellence in metals has been exploring and teaching the process of making textures through fire since 1976. She was an Artist in Residence for Pennsylvania and Delaware and a recipient of the Delaware Artist Grant. Her jewelry and vessels have won awards and recognition in the United States, Japan, Europe and Australia. Her work is in the permanent collection of The American Museum of Art and Design in New York City.

Her work is included in: Ornament Magazine, Lapidary Journal, Contemporary American Jewelry Design and Fold Forming. She produced Organic Metals, a 6 DVD set teaching fusing, jewelry projects and techniques.

Exhibitions and Shows include solo, group, gallery and museum since 1981. Juried shows: American Craft Council, Cherry Creek, Evanston, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Smithsonian, Santa Monica, Sausalito and Washington Craft shows. The DCCA Museum in Delaware, Signature Stadtischaan Museum, in Germany and the Kalmar Museum in Sweden.
